I really wanted to write a pop song and this is as close as I got. Three minutes, bang it out let's go, catchy chorus etc.

But then you see how I do with pop songs, the opening lyrics some sort of existential pondering that even I halfway understand (and yet I do of course, maybe it's more nihilist).

The point is that there may be many important things in this life/world, but time dancing with your loved is pretty much where it's at.

I had played a little cello for Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music) which was a huge honor for me on his album Gold Country. As the day was wrapping up I asked if he'd sing the chorus on this jam, and he did! Man his voice is so amazing.

I couldn't find anything more my style.
