Deming*

from Midnight Door by Luke Janela

about

Deming, NM.

In Deming we found an amazing museum, to this date my favorite museum, which the community had made by donating items from their lives dating back 150 years or so. From Native American basketry to the town's fire engine from the 1950's to a recreation of the dentist's office from the turn of the century, the collection was just so nostalgic and amazing.

The sounds in the song, at the end is a recording from the museum where they had paid tribute to the town's most well known composer Nacio Herb Brown by having a constantly playing turntable. Also in the end, the sound of a clocktower in Tucson, AZ.
